Every farm or trucking operation has a different solution for what hopper bottom works best for them so Timpte Hoppers offers 3 different clearance heights and 3 different door opening styles.

First we will talk about the trap door sizes. Timpte has what they call an Ag Tub which has a clearance of 25" with a door opening of 24"Wx27"L, a commodity hopper which Timpte calls their split tub and this has a 17" clearance with a door opening of 26"Wx54"L, and a Hi-Flow Tub which has a clearance of 20.5". 

The Timpte traps are made of 1/4" aluminum plate with hat section stiffeners to minimize deflection. Each door rides on sealed HD 40mm diameter roller bearings designed to give years of trouble free service. The interior trap door seal protects against moisture intrusion.

 

Timpte Hoppers different trap door operations:

  1. Low Torque Style -- This trap door is opened and closed manually operated 1" diameter shaft connected through a U-joint to the double rack and pinion gears using a removable crank. There are trap locks at each crankshaft. the double rack and pinion gears drive at both sides of each trap plate. You can get this in a 2 speed gear box also.
  2. Gravity Flow/Strap Style -- The Gravity Flow Belt Drive Door System delivers reliable and smooth performance that's easy to use and operate the system utilizes dual sets of hi-strength belts that mechanically move the door open and closed.
  3. EZ Flow Hydraulic Trap System -- Delivering the best-in-class performance, Timpte's patented EZ Flow Hydraulic Trap system continues to be the number one selling power trap system on the market and is the preferred choice for severe-duty applications. The new XR Series comes equipped with top-notch electronic upgrades and emergency override system as a standard feature. This unit comes with an open and close keypad in the middle of the hoppers and a wireless remote to operate the trap doors.
