We have installed thousands of Una-Goose Hitches over the years and our customers absolutely love this hitch. The hitch is built specifically to fit the frame of most late model trucks. The hitch is bolted around the frame of the vehicle to secure it in place. This eliminates drilling or welding on the frame of your truck like many other hitches require. Welding or Drilling on the frame of a late model truck could void the warranty or cause damage to the vehicle.  The chain plate shown above severs two purposes. First, the spring loaded retainers lock around the ball and secure the locking ring to prevent the ball from releasing. The chain plate also provides a secure place to lock your trailer's safety chains without drilling extra holes in the bed of the truck.   The picture on the left shows the Una-Goose Hitch installed in a truck bed. The picture on the right shows the ball removed with the plug installed. Removing Ball From Unit: 1. Simply remove the safety chain plate by spreading the two spring loaded retainers.  2. Lift the locking collar.  2. Remove the ball from receiver. This hitch is very low maintenance and easy to use.
